My Story…
Having witnessed the profound impact of both cancer and Parkinson's disease firsthand, joining the Shawn Thornton Foundation team was a no brainer. I'm participating in the Falmouth Road Race to honor my close relatives who have bravely battled or are currently fighting these conditions.
As a physical therapist, I deeply understand the importance of movement and the challenges these conditions can present to mobility. My run will be dedicated to those who are unable to move as they once could, and they will be in my thoughts every step of the way.
Description
The Shawn Thornton Foundation is dedicated to helping find cures for diseases close to Shawn's heart, specifically, Parkinson's and cancer. The Foundation will work towards this mission by raising awareness, funding innovative research and helping to relieve the burden and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
