Hello family, friends, and colleagues! I am proud to share that I am running the 2025 Asics Falmouth Road Race on Sunday, August 17th, to support the Alzheimer's Association! I have seen the devastating effects of this horrible disease. I run to honor and remember all those affected, especially my mom, who was diagnosed four years ago. I run for the first survivor. Currently, there are more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer's, and over 11 million people providing unpaid care for them. This disease will cost the US over $345 billion in 2025. It kills more than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined. 1 in 3 seniors die from it, two-thirds of those living with Alzheimer's are women, and one in five women over 45 will be diagnosed. These facts, and more, are staggering, and the prevalence continues to rise.
