My Story…
Friends and Family,
Each year I run the Falmouth Road Race to support the YMCA of Cape Cod’s Y Achievers program, which mentors teens of color and first-generation college students. Through life skills workshops, career tours, college prep, volunteer projects, and more, this program gives students the tools and confidence they need to succeed.
While I may talk about training like I’m preparing for a marathon—it’s just seven miles—I take this cause just as seriously.
As a proud alum of Barnstable High School, it means a lot to support students walking the same halls I once did. With your help, teens like Jaden Jeffries, also from BHS, are achieving their goals and making our community proud.
Jaden will attend the University of Connecticut to study business. He’s an honor roll student, a scholarship recipient, and a powerful voice in our community. He spoke at this year’s Y Achievers benefit dinner and even advocated at the State House.
Jaden chose UConn after joining last year’s college tour and has shown up for nearly every Y Achievers event. He’s the kind of young person you can always count on.
Please consider supporting the YMCA and celebrating students like Jaden who are working hard to build a better future for all of us.
Thank you!
