Help Ava raise money

I am running in the 2025 Falmouth Road Race raising funds as a member of Dave McGillivary Finish Strong Foundation team to help children increase their physical activity, accomplishing goals that heighten self-esteem a mission goal I strongly believe in.

Growing up, I was not very physically active. I played a few sports but struggled with my physical fitness. Even though I was recruited to play NCAA Women’s College lacrosse, I knew I needed to make a change. I wanted to perform better on the field and embrace lifelong fitness. 

Off the lacrosse field I started to run a mile almost everyday. That turned into many more miles and my first half marathon. I fell in love with weightlifting and combined with healthy eating I went on to become the starting goalie. 

Being a college athlete taught me the importance of balancing my education with love for physical fitness. I am now applying these valuable lessons to everyday life. 

I wish I had learned these skills earlier in life and had a charity like the Dave McGillivary Finish Strong Foundation to help me achieve my goals.

On August 17th,  I will run the miles. Please help me to achieve my fundraising goal of raising $1,500 or more so others can benefit from the work of this worthwhile cause.
