One week prior to my running of the 50^th Falmouth Road Race in 2022, I was advised by my orthopedist to “stop running and never run again.” I possibly have a bit of a headstrong personality, so I ran the FRR that year anyway and every year since. Each year I have felt fortunate to be able to run and honored to participate in the Numbers for Nonprofits program. I take it one year at a time. Miraculously, my knees are less painful and my finishing times continue to improve — I hope the trend continues in 2025!

 My Charity...

This year I am running in support of the American Red Cross of Southeastern Massachusetts. Quite some time ago, I served on the Board of Directors for many years and I can attest to the great works that this charity performs day-in and day-out; throughout our local communities, across this vast country and around the world.

Each of us can likely recount stories of how the American Red Cross impacts lives. You don’t have to go any further than your daily news to witness dedicated volunteers and staff in action.
