Help Chris raise money

Thank you for considering a donation to help the Michael Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkington. The firefighter pictured above is Gerry Stanhope. Gerry was an amazing father, a Vietnam Veteran, Natick Firefighter, and friend to many people around Natick. Gerry was instrumental in getting the respite center up and running many years ago so his son, Michael, who was born with many mental and physical challenges, would have a safe place to stay while Gerry worked as he was a single parent. He literally helped with construction of the building and did maintenance on anything that needed fixing. Both Michael and Gerry passed away back in 2002 and 2003 after heroic battles with cancer. 

          I got on Natick fire back in 1993 but had known Gerry long before that. Gerry was a great family friend who I was lucky enough to work with for about 8 years at the East Natick station shortly after I started. I am running Falmouth once again to remember Gerry and his hard work and sacrifice he gave to his country as a veteran, town as a fire fighter and local community helping start the respite center so families going through similar situations as him would have a place to turn for assistance. I know its a little late as the race is this Sunday but any help reaching my goal and helping the Michael Lisnow Respite Center would be appreciated.
