My Story…
As a Physical Therapy student at Northeastern University I had the privilege of completing my co-operative education experience at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, MA. During this eye-opening experience I worked alongside PTs and OTs on the comprehensive rehab floor which primarily treated patients with orthopedic conditions, burn survivors, and amputees. While at Spaulding I created strong bonds with numerous amputees through assisting with their rehabilitation process on a daily basis and voluntarily attending weekly limb-loss support group meetings to further learn about their stories and who they truly were as people. This life-changing experience has inspired me to raise money for the Bionic Project, a movement which aims to create a more inclusive world for all regardless of physical ability levels.
As an avid runner myself, I am excited to participate in the Bionic 5k on April 27th, 2025 in which I will run alongside adaptive athletes, elite runners, and first-timers in a race that is intended to celebrate differences, innovative prosthetic technology, and the human spirit.
Please help me in my attempt to raise money for a cause that aims to break down barriers and disability bias, builds empathy, and fosters connection through education, story, and sport. Thank you so much for your support!
