My Story…
I broke my leg!
Okay, that was about 20 years ago, but I was training to do a marathon at the time and ran 30 kilometers on a broken bone without realising.
Not surprisingly, I was unable to complete that marathon and have yearned to do one ever since. Then, around 8 years ago I almost lost my eyesight and during an operation to ensure that I did not, I discovered I had a slight heart defect. A minor heart operation corrected that and I am finally able to achieve that goal of completing a marathon.
Therefore, what better cause to raise money for than Heart & Stroke. The treatment I received was incredible and I am very thankful to the doctors & nurses that took care of me during what could have been a very stressful time. Please support me in raising as much (or as little) as you can afford towards this great cause. Thanks, Chris
