At BCCFA, we are proud to participate in the BMO Vancouver Marathon on May 3 as we work to raise essential funds for Foundry Burnaby, a new integrated youth services centre that will support young people ages 12–24 in our community.

Foundry Burnaby will offer mental health services, substance use health care, physical & sexual health care, peer support, and social services all in one welcoming, low‑barrier space. By bringing these services together, we aim to make it easier for youth to get the help they need when they need it.

The need is clear. Across the province, 25% of youth who access a Foundry centre say they would not have sought care anywhere else. Foundry plays a vital role in reaching young people who might otherwise go without support, helping to prevent crises and create long‑term pathways to wellness.

To make Foundry Burnaby a reality, BCCFA has launched a $2 million capital campaign. We have secured a brand new space at 6889 Royal Oak (our profile picture). This capital campaign will help bring this space to life!

Our team’s participation in the BMO Vancouver Marathon is one way we’re engaging our community in this important work, and we are aiming to raise $5000 through this event to help move the project forward.

Every donation of any size brings us closer to opening Foundry Burnaby’s doors and ensuring youth in Burnaby have accessible, stigma‑free care close to home.
