My Story…
We don't have a fundraising goal. We live at the Canyon and are going to hike from Tusayan to the Grandview tower. My wife, myself, and our puppy are doing this hike in honor of my father, USMC Sgt. Bill Lysen, a strong and proud Veteran of the war in Vietnam, and a loving and dedicated family man who just returned home after spending over a year in the VA fighting for his life.
Description
AZT in a Day is an October tradition that engages the public to hike, bike, ride, or run the entire length of the Arizona Trail (AZT) from Mexico to Utah in one day. This 800-mile team challenge raises awareness and funds to fulfill the Arizona Trail Association's mission: to protect, maintain, enhance, promote and sustain the Arizona Trail as a unique encounter with the natural environment. Check out the ATA's programs on their website: www.aztrail.org
Support me as I support the trail! My goal is to raise $800--one dollar for each mile of the Arizona Trail. All donations are 100% tax-deductible and go directly to supporting the Arizona Trail Association.
