My Story…
Join AZ C.A.R. in the C.A.R. Day of Service. Societies are asked to join a C.A.R. Society Team to hike a section of the Arizona Trail from April 5th through May 1st in honor of the founding of the National Society on April 5, 1895. Remember to invite DAR, SAR, veterans and community members to join in on raising awareness of Operation Freedom March, a statewide campaign inviting service members, military Veterans, their families, and supporters to participate in a coordinated effort to complete all 800 of the Arizona Trail. Registration fees and sponsorships will support the Arizona Trail Association’s Veterans Engagement and Trail Stewardship (VETS) Program, helping preserve the trail and connect veterans with therapeutic outdoor experiences.
Description
AZT in a Day is an October tradition that engages the public to hike, bike, ride, or run the entire length of the Arizona Trail (AZT) from Mexico to Utah in one day. This 800-mile team challenge raises awareness and funds to fulfill the Arizona Trail Association's mission: to protect, maintain, enhance, promote and sustain the Arizona Trail as a unique encounter with the natural environment. Check out the ATA's programs on their website: www.aztrail.org
Support me as I support the trail! My goal is to raise $800--one dollar for each mile of the Arizona Trail. All donations are 100% tax-deductible and go directly to supporting the Arizona Trail Association.
