My Story…
The Pittsburgh Marathon is one of the most amazing events I have ever participated in. There are the runners/walkers, the children and youth, the pets. Then there are the volunteers who come out early on Sunday in any kind of weather to make the event possible. Then, maybe the most important, there are the fans who cheer the first group on. It is truly an amazing day of community building. Thanks Pittsburgh!
Open Hand Ministries considers preparing for marathon races (of any length or type) takes dedication, perseverance and planning - the same skills needed to prepare for financial wellness and homeownership. Since 2008, OHM has rehabbed or built 25 homes and 25 families have purchased their first home-of-their-own.
This is my 4th Half Marathon. Let's make it sensational! All money raised goes toward creating equitable solutions for Affordable Home Ownership! Let's Do This Together.
