Why I support The Pittsburgh Project
As the Executive Director of The Pittsburgh Project and as a dad, this 5K is deeply personal for me. I get to see every day how TPP is shaping young lives through after-school programs, summer day camp, mentoring, electives, worship, and community. But I don’t just see it as a leader, I see it as a parent. My children, Alana and Elijah, attend the after-school program and summer camp, and they come home excited about engineering projects, art electives, field trips, friendships, and what they’re learning about Jesus. Danitra, Alana, Elijah, and I are running this race as a family because we believe in what The Pittsburgh Project is building, a place where kids are known, loved, challenged, and encouraged to grow. If you’re able, would you consider supporting us and investing in the next generation?
Description
The Pittsburgh Project is a faith-based organization with the mission to share hope, empower youth and build community. We pursue this by offering educationally enriching after school and summer day camp programming for students in grades K-12. Join us in walking/running for the youth and families of the North Side! Every dollar fuels a step towards a better future for our city!
