My Story…
Thank you for visiting my page!
I am running the 2026 Pittsburgh Marathon with the Mario Lemieux Foundation to raise money for cancer research and development, as well as for supporting patients who are diagnosed with cancer and their families.
Cancer has had significant impacts on my family. I'm running in memory of my grandfather Rex who lost his battle with Lymphoma, as well as his brother Don, who lost his battle with Lung Cancer.
While there are far too many families like mine who have lost loved ones to cancer, there are also so many incredible survival stories, largely due to the amazing breakthroughs in research and in medicine. My mom is one of those survivors, with an incredible story of her own after being diagnosed with cancer in January 2025. Since her diagnosis, she has redefined strength, resiliency, positive mindsets, and the warrior mentality after undergoing major surgery, intense chemotherapy & immunotherapy, and ultimately winning her battle! I will being running in honor of her.
People like my mom would have difficulty making their progress if it wasn't for donors like you, who play a crucial part in fundraising cancer research, development, and advancements in medicine. Together, we can create a team of generosity to help raise money and make a difference for an incredible cause.
Even just a few dollars donated is a giant step toward increasing survival rates of cancer patients. In fact, just a few dollars donated here and there by millions of donors like you has created an enormous impact on cancer research already.
Thank you for your generosity! Please consider donating and taking this amazing opportunity to save lives. Description
Please donate to help me raise money for the Mario Lemieux Foundation as part of the 2026 DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Run for a Reason program!
Since their founding in 1993, the Mario Lemieux Foundation has been focused on finding a cure for cancer by funding research and patient care, and supporting families in challenging medical situations. Through ongoing projects at the Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers, the Mario Lemieux Lymphoma Center, the Mario Lemieux Immunotherapy Center, and the recently established Mario Lemieux Center for Heart Rhythm Care, we support research that translates to clinical trails and innovative therapies that save lives.
