My Story…
5 years cancer free!
This calls for a celebration.. please join me!
This spring I’m running (again) for Magee Women’s charity team to raise support and awareness at the annual Pittsburgh Half Marathon.
With its founding in 1992, Magee‑Womens Research Institute became the nation’s first freestanding research institute specifically dedicated to the health of women across the lifespan. Since then, it has grown into the largest.
I underwent all of my treatment at Magee-Womens and credit my incredible team of oncologists, surgeons, nurses, family, and friends for helping me navigate this journey.
During my treatments and recovery I found that running played a crucial role in supporting my health and wellness. I found running to be therapeutic and rhythmic — time for myself to process what is happening.
I’m proud to be a Magee-Womens nurse for 10+ years, I know firsthand the impact this institution has on patients' lives.
For me, running for Magee-Womens was a natural choice – a heartfelt way to support women's cancer research and give back to the place that means so much to me.
I'd be honored if you could join me in supporting this cause. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a tangible impact on the lives of women and their communities.
