I Run to Cure CF!
This year, I’m running the Pittsburgh Half Marathon to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I am running for those who can’t
Cystic fibrosis is a progressive genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system, requiring constant treatment and specialized care. While incredible progress has been made in research and treatment, there is still more work to do to ensure every person with CF has access to life-changing therapies and, ultimately, a cure.
Training for 13.1 miles is nothing compared to what individuals with CF face daily. I’m running to support the research, advocacy, and care that continue to transform lives.
If you’re able to contribute, thank you for supporting this cause and cheering me on along the way. Every donation makes a difference.
Description
Cystic fibrosis is a rare, genetic disease found in about 40,000 people in the U.S. causing persistent lung infections and limiting the ability to breath over time. Those living with this disease are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers --all struggling each day just to breathe and live normal, healthy lives.
While there has been significant progress in treating this disease, there is still no cure and too many lives are cut far too short. By participating in the Pittsburgh Marathon on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, I run to help add tomorrows to the lives of all people living with cystic fibrosis today. Please make a difference and support me by donating to my fundraising campaign today!
