My Story…
ALS is a terrible disease. At the time of diagnosis, most do not live to see three more birthdays. Early detection is crucial as are early therapies. My uncle passed from this disease in the early 90s.
I am not a runner. It is not a natural ability. I am registered to run the half of the Pittsburgh Marathon on May 3, 2026. I have a goal of $1000 to raise for The ALS Foundation, but if I attain $10,000, I'll run the full Pittsburgh Marathon next year. I repeat, I am not a natural runner!!
I want to show my three young kids that we can do hard things and help others at the same time. Your mind is your strongest muscle. I will be repeating that 3 million times on May 3rd.
