My Story…
Hi, my name is Lauren, and I am running a half marathon to raise money and awareness for Parkinson’s disease!
Parkinson’s disease affects millions of people, impacting mobility, independence, and everyday quality of life. Those living with Parkinson’s show incredible strength and resilience, along with the families and caregivers who support them through daily challenges. It is a disease that reaches far beyond the diagnosis itself.
The red tulip is the worldwide symbol for Parkinson’s disease and represents hope, strength, and awareness. By running with the red tulip in mind, I am honoring the resilience of everyone affected and helping keep the conversation going while supporting the search for better treatments.
Through my work in senior care at Senior Helpers, I have had the privilege of supporting clients living with Parkinson’s, and those experiences inspired me to take action. I am running this half marathon to raise money and awareness in their honor. Every mile is for them, and every donation helps support research, care, and hope for the future. <3
