I Run to Cure CF!
I’m running the Pittsburgh Marathon for my daughter, Alina, who was born with cystic fibrosis.
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. It causes thick mucus to build up, making breathing and fighting infections harder over time. While many people with CF rely on daily treatments and medications, not every child has access to the same options—and there is still no cure.
Alina is strong, joyful, and full of life. I’m running these miles to raise awareness and support research that gives families hope—hope for better treatments for those living with CF today, and hope for a cure for our children’s future.
Every donation, big or small, helps move this mission forward. Thank you for supporting Alina and for being part of the fight against cystic fibrosis 💙
Description
Cystic fibrosis is a rare, genetic disease found in about 40,000 people in the U.S. causing persistent lung infections and limiting the ability to breath over time. Those living with this disease are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers --all struggling each day just to breathe and live normal, healthy lives.
While there has been significant progress in treating this disease, there is still no cure and too many lives are cut far too short. By participating in the Pittsburgh Marathon on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, I run to help add tomorrows to the lives of all people living with cystic fibrosis today. Please make a difference and support me by donating to my fundraising campaign today!
