500
Hi everyone! If you don’t already know me, my name is Emily. I am a junior at West Chester University studying Nutrition and Dietetics.
This upcoming May, I’m running the Pittsburgh Marathon and raising $500 to support the work of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
The Food Bank serves families, children, seniors, and veterans who are facing food insecurity. For so many people, access to nutritious food isn’t guaranteed. Rising grocery prices, job loss, unexpected medical bills, and other life challenges can quickly put families in difficult situations. The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank works to eliminate worry for where their next meal will come from.
Every dollar donated through my fundraising page goes directly to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. None of the proceeds go to me personally. This effort is about giving back and using this marathon as a way to support the Pitt community.
If you’re able to give, even a small amount can make a meaningful difference.
Description
With your support, we can ensure that none of our neighbors go to bed hungry. For every $1 donated, the Food Bank can provide up to 3 nutritious meals for our neighbors in need. Every dollar brings us one step closer to a hunger-free community! Thank you in advance for your support.
