My Story…
I’ve officially done something mildly unhinged: I signed up for the Pittsburgh 5K.
No, it wasn’t a dare. No, I don’t fully know who I’ve become.
I’m running to support the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of my grandmother, who is battling this devastating disease. Alzheimer’s takes so much from families — memories, independence, familiarity — and watching someone you love go through that is heartbreaking.
I may not be fast. I may question my life choices around mile two. But I’ll finish. And I’ll finish for her.
