My Story…
This year has been a journey. A few months ago, I signed up for the half marathon as someone who, just a year ago, could barely run a mile. I never expected the biggest challenges wouldn’t even be the running itself.
Over the past few months, I’ve dealt with multiple related and unrelated injuries, countless hours of PT for my foot, and now the possibility of wrist surgery. There were definitely moments recently where I questioned if I should drop out. But quitting has never been my mindset, and no matter what, I’ll be crossing that finish line!
As I take on this race, I’m also raising money for Animal Lifeline, a small volunteer-based animal rescue and foster nonprofit in the Pittsburgh area. I chose them because every donation truly makes a difference — every dollar goes directly toward helping animals get the care, safety, and second chance they deserve.
If you’d like to support me by donating — even just a few dollars — it would mean so much to me and validate that I did make the right choice sticking it through. ❤️
See you all at the finish line 😎
