My Story…

As some of you know, I started running this year as a way to clear my head and take better care of myself. Watching so many people our age face serious health challenges has been a real wake-up call, and running has been my way of processing that and doing something positive.

I recently signed up for the half marathon, and when I registered there was an option to support a cause. I chose ALS in honor of those who are battling it and the families walking alongside them. It felt like a small but meaningful way to dedicate the miles to something bigger than myself.

Please don’t feel any obligation at all — I mainly wanted to share what I’m training for and why it matters to me. Your encouragement and support already mean a lot.

Description

The ALS Association Team Challenge ALS are running in honor of those currently living with ALS and in remembrance of those we have lost to the disease. The funds raised by our team provide help and hope to those living with ALS by supporting local patient care, advocacy, and global research to find treatments and a cure for this always fatal disease.
