I had the opportunity to be part of Best Buddies in high school, and it was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

Best Buddies is dedicated to creating opportunities for friendship, leadership development, and inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through the program, I was paired with various buddies and built friendships that truly changed the way I see the world.

What started as a school club turned into something much bigger. The friendships I formed were genuine, joyful, and lasting. My buddies and the other members of the program became some of my closest friends, and they taught me more about kindness, patience, and celebrating people for exactly who they are.

Best Buddies helps create communities where everyone belongs. It gives individuals with disabilities opportunities for connection, confidence, and leadership - things everyone deserves.
