My Mission
At Huntington Learning Center, we believe that strong readers become strong learners for life. This year, we are excited to participate in the 2026 Pittsburgh Pet Marathon to raise funds for something very close to our heart: books for students.
All money raised through our team will go directly toward purchasing new books for our Summer Reading Adventure Program. Each summer, Huntington students participate in a fun and engaging reading challenge designed to keep their skills strong while school is out. Research shows that students can lose significant reading progress over the summer months, but access to engaging books can make all the difference.
Your donation will help us place new, high-interest books directly into the hands of students, encouraging them to read, explore new ideas, and build confidence in their academic abilities.
Through the Summer Reading Adventure, students track their reading, celebrate milestones, and discover the joy of learning beyond the classroom. With your support, we can continue to expand this program and ensure that more children have access to books that inspire them.
Every dollar raised helps us:
• Purchase new books for our Summer Reading Adventure
• Provide students with engaging reading materials to prevent summer learning loss
• Encourage a lifelong love of reading and learning
We are proud to be part of a community that supports education, literacy, and student success. Thank you for helping us turn pages into possibilities for the students we serve.
Together, we can make this summer a chapter worth reading.
