Why I support The Pittsburgh Project
One week away! Psyched to be running the Pittsburgh Half Marathon again this year with The Pittsburgh Project!
The Pittsburgh Project has been doing amazing work on the North Side for 40 years — supporting kids (K–12) and families with mentoring, tutoring, summer camps, and creating a safe, inspiring place to learn and grow. It’s one of those organizations where you can actually see the impact in smiling faces on families and children on Pittsburgh's North side.
And as a bonus, I get to combine that with running one of the best half marathon courses out there.
If you’re up for supporting the cause, I’d really appreciate it. Every bit helps and goes directly toward something meaningful. Looking forward to running and hopefully seeing some of your smiling faces out there!
Description
The Pittsburgh Project is a faith-based organization with the mission to share hope, empower youth and build community. We pursue this by offering educationally enriching after school and summer day camp programming for students in grades K-12. Join us in walking/running for the youth and families of the North Side! Every dollar fuels a step towards a better future for our city!
