Why I support The Pittsburgh Project
I’m proud to be leading this team for the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh 5K in support of The Pittsburgh Project, an organization that has had a lasting impact not only on our city, but on my own family.
My children participated in The Pittsburgh Project’s LIT (Leaders in Training) program, where they gained more than just experiences... they developed real-life skills, meaningful relationships, and a heart for service. Through the program, they worked on projects that helped repair homes for seniors in our community, learning firsthand what it means to show up, give back, and care for others.
What makes this organization so special is its holistic approach. It’s not just about service, it’s about leadership, community, and faith. The Pittsburgh Project creates an environment where young people are supported, challenged, and inspired to grow into who they’re called to be.
And the impact is lasting.
The friendships my kids built during their time there still exist today.
That’s the kind of transformation your support makes possible.
By donating to our team, you’re helping to ensure that more young people across Pittsburgh have access to programs that build confidence, character, and community, while also supporting critical services for vulnerable homeowners.
We’re running for them.
We’re running for this city.
We’re running for impact.
If you’re able, I’d truly appreciate your support, every dollar makes a difference.
