My Story…
As a young woman who has struggled with anxiety and mental health challenges, there have been so many times where I’ve questioned my strength and doubted myself. For a long time, I saw those struggles as weaknesses and thought they would hold me back from achieving the things I wanted in life.
But the women in my life, my moms, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, and friends, have shown me what real strength looks like.
They have taught me that strength isn’t about having it all together all the time; it’s about resilience, perseverance, and simply doing your best.
It took me many years to learn that it’s okay to be open about your struggles and emotions throughout life, because staying silent only makes it harder.
I want to do this run not only to prove to myself that I can do anything I set my mind to, despite everything life has thrown at me emotionally and physically, but also for these women who inspire me every day.
One day, when I become a mother, I hope to pass that same strength on and show my children that no matter what life throws at you, you can always keep going. ❤️
