My Story…
I’m raising funds for Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women because this cause is personal to me.
As a first-generation immigrant, navigating a new environment while carrying financial and social pressures left me overwhelmed and emotionally burned out. Coming from a culture where mental health wasn’t openly discussed, I struggled in silence and learned to push through—hiding behind productivity while things got heavier internally.
My turning point came in 2020. The pandemic forced me to slow down and face what I had been avoiding. That’s when my healing journey began. I started counselling, and it has made a profound difference in my life.
Today, I’m passionate about supporting women’s mental health because many women are navigating overwhelm, anxiety, and burnout in silence—trying to meet expectations at work, at home, and in their relationships, often without the support or resources they truly need.
I believe when women heal, they rise—and when they rise, we build stronger, more wholesome communities.
Mental health is health, and every woman deserves access to support.
