For the past 10 years, running has been more than just a passion for me, it’s been a way to connect with my strength, perseverance, and purpose. This May, as I lace up for the marathon with Run4FMDSA, I’m running not just with my feet, but with my heart set on something deeply meaningful and that is raising awareness and vital funds for the Fibromuscular Dysplasia Society of America (FMDSA). FMDSA is a nonprofit patient advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Fibromuscular Dysplasia, a rare vascular condition that can lead to arterial narrowing, aneurysms, or tears, and remains under-diagnosed and widely misunderstood. 

Through the organization's tireless work in raising awareness, funding research, educating medical professionals, and providing compassionate patient support, FMDSA is truly transforming the FMD community. Every dollar raised goes toward advancing research initiatives like the FMD registry, expanding education for both patients and healthcare providers, and building a stronger network of support for families facing this challenging disease. Running this marathon is my way of giving back, turning every mile into momentum for those fighting FMD, and of amplifying the hope for better diagnosis. I’m truly grateful for your support, whether through a donation, a share, or simply spreading the word.
