My Story…
My sister Leah's journey with lupus shaped my life in ways I could never repay. Her resilience inspired me to pursue nursing, to stand at the bedside of others the way her nurses stood beside her. Every step of my education and career has been motivated by her courage. I am running this marathon in her memory. Each mile represents her fight, her strength, and the love that continues to guide me. This race is not just about endurance—it’s about honoring her legacy and carrying her fighting spirit forward, one step at a time.
As an oncology nurse, I care for patients at some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. In my role providing infusion care—not only for oncology patients but also for those with autoimmune diseases—I’ve come to know many individuals living with lupus.
I am committed to supporting the Lupus Foundation. Research, education, and advocacy truly change lives. Every stride forward means earlier diagnoses, better treatments, fewer flares, and more days of feeling well enough to live fully—not just survive.
Thank you for standing with me, my sister, and the millions of others affected by lupus. With your support, we can help make meaningful progress toward a world free from autoimmune disease.
