My Story…
This year, I’m running my first half marathon — 13.1 miles that represent something much bigger than a race.
I’m running for mental health.
Mental health has been deeply personal to me. In my own journey — especially during the time I came out as gay — I experienced anxiety and depression in ways that felt isolating and overwhelming. There were moments when I struggled quietly, unsure where to turn or whether I’d truly be understood.
What I learned through that season is this: no one should have to fight those battles alone.
Mental health care is still severely underfunded, and too many people lack access to the support they need. Stigma keeps people silent. Cost keeps people from getting help. And too many individuals feel unseen.
That’s why I’m raising money for the Embrace Mental Health Foundation. I want to help create a world where everyone is seen, supported, and able to access the care they deserve — without shame and without barriers.
These 13.1 miles are about resilience. They’re about visibility. They’re about hope.
If you feel led, I’d be honored to have your support — whether through a donation, sharing this page, or simply checking in on someone who might need it.
Let’s make sure no one runs alone.
