This year, a local Bendigo family is taking part in the community fun run with a purpose close to home. With Dr. Rob serving as the sole neurologist at Bendigo Health, we see every day how vital neurological care is across the vast Greater Bendigo region—and how urgently the department needs more support. We’re running to raise funds for a dedicated neurology nurse, someone who can help expand services, ease the growing demand, and ensure patients receive timely, specialised care alongside the hospital’s two exceptional stroke nurses. For our family, the fun run is more than a race. It’s a chance to stand beside the person we love, championing the work he does, and help carry the neurology department forward—just as we’ll carry our children when little legs get tired along the way. Every step we take brings Bendigo closer to the stronger, more supported neurological care the community deserves.
