Our story…
When Dusty entered the hospital with stage 4 b-cell lymphoma on April 20, 2025, mere weeks before the 2025 OSF Nun Run for Cancer, two things were certain: he couldn’t walk, and the Nun Run 2025 advertisement was on every single computer screen he saw in the myriad of hallways, exam rooms, and hospital rooms. It was basically his view.
He made a promise to himself that a year from then, in May 2026, he would finish the 2026 Nun Run. And here he is, folks! Please join us in celebrating all that Dusty’s accomplished and overcome in a grueling past year. Whether you’re joining us on race day, making a donation, sending up a prayer, or toasting his journey, we appreciate each and every one of you for how you’ve lifted us up in our darkest hour.
