My Story…
My reason for supporting the Tour de Rocks is to support an amazing cause, especially for family members, particularly my nephew Lachie, who was diagnosed with a rare eye cancer, retinoblastoma, when he was just 18 months old, and he ended up losing his eye. It’s also for friends and everyone else who’s had to battle cancer. I first rode in the Tour de Rocks back in 2014 for three years. For the last couple of years, I've still been on the bike, and this year I'm doing a bit of both – riding and supporting. I feel my main role on the team is to support and cheer on everyone, keeping things positive and making sure we all have a bit of fun! What really gets me every year is the absolutely amazing effort everyone puts in. It's such a community event, and it really inspires me – from all the organisers, the riders, the support crew, the catering, the shirts, the logistics... just everything that goes into making such an inspiring event for our friends, family, and community.
