My Story…
On June 7, 2026, I’ll be lining up for the Run for Women. Two years ago, I ran this 10k because I believed in the cause and wanted to challenge myself.
I never imagined that just a year later, I would personally rely on the resources this run supports.
Navigating postpartum depression (PPD) has been one of the scariest and most isolating experiences of my life.
I am forever grateful that my doctors heard me, took me seriously, and connected me to the resources I needed to help me start finding my way back.
I hope to now give back by spreading awareness and raising money to support the resources in my community.
This year, my goal looks a bit different. I’m aiming for the 5k—a distance that used to feel easy, but now feels impossible. Between healing from diastasis and a partial prolapse, and simply finding the time to move as a new mom, I am essentially starting from zero.
My training plan involves a lot of grace: pelvic physio, postpartum workouts, and joining my mom group for Stroller Fit.
To anyone out there experiencing postpartum mental health challenges, please know you are not alone ❤️🩹
