Route Maps

The 5K is a scenic and tranquil, flat, paved out-and-back route along the Meewasin Trail beside the South Saskatchewan River. Fully accessible for runners, walkers, and families with strollers, the course features gentle inclines with no significant hills and remains on pavement for its entirety.
The course is in the Riversdale neighbourhood with plenty of parking in the surrounding neighbourhood and parking lots. Starting in Victoria Park near the Saskatoon Canoe Club, participants head south along the river, taking in open water views and quiet park surroundings. Just before the 1K mark, participants pass the Saskatoon Water Treatment Plant. At Schuyler Street, the course briefly transitions onto the road for one block before returning to the trail.
The turnaround point is located just before the Gordie Howe Bridge at 2.5K, where a water station is available at the Saskatoon Road Runners trail node. The return north along the Meewasin Trail offers growing views of Saskatoon’s downtown skyline, ending at the finish line back in Victoria Park.

The 10K is a scenic, flat, paved out-and-back route that begins on the Meewasin Trail in Victoria Park near the Saskatoon Canoe Club, and shares the same opening section as the 5K. The course is in the Riversdale neighbourhood with plenty of parking in the surrounding neighbourhood and parking lots. Participants travel south along the riverbank through tree-lined paths and the green spaces adjacent to the Holiday Park neighbourhood.
At Schuyler Street, the course briefly transitions to the road for one block before reconnecting with the Meewasin Trail and continuing toward the water station just before the Gordie Howe Bridge at the 5K turnaround point.
From there, 10K runners continue farther south down a gentle slope to the pedestrian bridge beneath the Gordie Howe Bridge. At the end of the bridge, runners turn left (north) to follow the Meewasin Trail toward their turnaround. This section—part of the Trans Canada Trail—features several small bridges and a short stretch of well-packed gravel around the 4.5K mark, offering a quiet change of scenery along the river’s curves. The turnaround is located just beyond a narrower park path with mild rolling rises.
On the return, participants rejoin the paved trail near the Gordie Howe Bridge for a steady, flat run back toward the city. The final kilometers retrace the Meewasin Trail north, passing familiar landmarks and following the river back to Victoria Park for the finish line.
