My Story…
Am I a runner? No.
Am I doing the 10km run anyways? Absolutely.
Is it going to be difficult and exhausting? Yes. Have I done many difficult and exhausting things in my life? Also yes.
Last year I completed the 5km run in the pouring rain. And this was a beautiful metaphor for what it means to me to keep going despite the circumstances. & Despite what is going on inside your head.
I am doing this run because it is important. I am doing this run because it is a walk in the park in comparison to the battles I have faced regarding my own mental health. I am doing this run for my family and friends who have lost the battle.
