My Story…
Mental health has touched my family in profound ways, and like so many others, I have seen firsthand the challenges that individuals and their loved ones face. The journey can be difficult, often invisible to those on the outside, but it has strengthened my belief that no one should have to face these struggles alone.
As a caregiver, I have also come to understand how deeply mental and physical health are connected. Caring for a loved one has shown me the emotional weight that families often carry behind the scenes and the importance of having access to compassionate care, support systems, and a community that understands.
As Team Captain of the PMI-DHC Trailblazers, I am proud to lead a group of project professionals and community champions who are coming together to support the Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women. We believe that building stronger communities means supporting the health and well-being of the people within them.
This cause is deeply personal to me. Through my volunteer work and my own family experiences, I have learned that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness, and that breaking the stigma surrounding mental health is something we all have a role in.
I am participating to honour those who are struggling, those who are healing, and the families and caregivers who walk alongside them every day. Every donation, no matter the size, helps provide hope and critical resources to women and families in our community.
Thank you for supporting me, the PMI-DHC Trailblazers, and this important cause. Together, we can make a difference, one step, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time 💜
