Burt Sanghvi my Dad, was known to many of us as Burtman. In 2023, he passed away due to Brain Cancer. From the time of his diagnosis through to his passing, he had a number of visits to Markham Stouffville (MS) Hospital. He ended up spending quite a bit of time there, and as a family, so did we. We got to know the facility quite well, and all the doctors, nurses and staff took good care of him on his journey. It's a wonderful hospital and we are lucky to have it so close to us. As well, even before COVID and his diagnosis, Dad was also a volunteer at MS Hospital. In his retirement, he believed in giving back and really loved his volunteer work with the Hospital. For the past 3 years on Father's Day, we honor him and continue to 'walk in his footsteps' as part of the Main Street 5K.
