Family SOS

Family SOS is a Halifax-based charitable organization that has been walking alongside children and families since 1978. Through child and youth support, parent and caregiver support, and food support, we help families, create healthier homes, and build stronger, more connected communities.

Our Programs:

• Community Market / Food Bank: weekly food support for more than 150 families, along with hygiene and basic household items

• Lunchbox Project: 400 nutritious meals each week for students at JL Ilsley High School and in the community

• Parent Support Program: support for more than 200 parents and caregivers each year through guidance, education, and early intervention

• Child and Youth Programs: after-school programs, summer camps, and free meal support that help children and youth learn, grow, and feel connected
