Cancer has likely touched all of us in some way. Whether it's through a close friend, a family member, or our own lives, it’s a devastating and scary disease.

I’m running my first full marathon in honour of a friend who came to the end of his journey in December 2025. Watching someone you care about face cancer reminds you how fragile, precious, and unfairly short life can feel.

I feel privileged to be able to run and to have the health to do so. As I run, I’ll be thinking of him and of those still battling. I’m running with gratitude and purpose, hoping that even a small contribution can help make a difference
