My Story…
Last Fall, I decided to run and fundraise for the Canadian Cancer Society with a goal of $100 and ended up raising $200. Shortly after, my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Being away at university while my dad goes through treatment has been difficult. I've had to watch much of his journey from afar, while also seeing the effect on my mum and sister who are at home with him. My other sister and I are both navigating this from different cities, trying to balance school, life, and being there for our family as best we can. Running a half marathon in May feels deeply personal to me. This is an opportunity to honour my dad's strength, recognize the emotional toll this has taken on my whole family, and contribute to research, care, and support for others facing cancer. This year, my goal is to raise $250 for the Canadian Cancer Society. Every donation - big or small - makes a real difference and means more to me than I can put in words. Thank you for supporting this important cause.
