I am participating in the 10K to fundraise for the  Atlantic Chapter of Surfrider Foundation Canada.

I support Surfrider Canada's mission because of the important role of the ocean in the lives of many people in Atlantic Canada---a place for us to play, a source of livelihood for many, and, most importantly, a key factor in keeping our planet healthy.  

The Atlantic Chapter has some exciting initiatives underway, including a new water quality testing initiative, and every little bit of support helps with our mission of protecting our oceans and coastlines for current and future generations.
