The Legacy of Trailblazer For Cancer

They say timing is everything — and for friends Cory Bell and Chris Nolan, that timing led to something extraordinary.

In 2014, driven by a shared desire to give back and make a meaningful difference, Cory and Chris co-founded Trailblazer For Cancer. What began as an idea between friends quickly grew into a non-competitive, family-friendly event that welcomed people of all ages and abilities, united by one common goal: raising funds for cancer research and hope for families facing the unimaginable.

From the very beginning, this initiative was intentional about creating impact close to home. Supporting locally driven research was essential. In being introduced by the IWK to PROFYLE (PRecision Oncology For Young PeopLE), the Co-Founders found a cause that aligned deeply with their values.

In 2026, Lindsay Construction joins PROFYLE to participate and fundraise for the Blue Nose in support of community, connection, and collective action. This event represents the power of coming together to create real, lasting change. The legacy of Trailblazer for Cancer continues with your donation and participation helping carry this work forward — supporting groundbreaking research and ensuring hope remains at the heart of every step taken in the fight against cancer.
