Help Create a World Free of MS

Every 12 minutes, someone in Canada is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), making Canada hold one of the highest rates of MS in the world.

MS is a chronic autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord) and most people are diagnosed with it between the ages of 20 and 49. Roughly one in every 400 Canadians (over 90,000 people) lives with MS today.

As you run and/or support others running for MS Canada in the Toronto Marathon, please know how thankful the MS community is of your generosity. We'd love your help in building the momentum to fundraise even more for your favourite marathon runner before race day on May 4!

If you can't be there in person to support your Toronto runner, but are around another city MS Canada is a chosen charity to raise funds for, please consider participating, cheering on, and/or donating to runners raising funds for MS Canada in any and all of the following races:

1. BMO Vancouver Marathon – May 4, 2025
2. Toronto Marathon – May 4, 2025
3. Emera Blue Nose Marathon (Halifax) – May 17-19, 2025
4. Tamarack Ottawa Marathon – May 24, 2025
5. Servus Calgary Marathon – May 25, 2025
6. Toronto Waterfront Marathon – October 20, 2025

We're always busy connecting with the community at MS Canada with a variety of accessible fundraising events. 

Please take part as a volunteer, donor, sponsor, or participant in as many events as you like, because we'd love to have you at all of them: MS Walk , MS Bike , The May 50K, Edmonton and Calgary's MS Whisky Festivals, and third-party events people like you lead with the We Challenge MS team's support (i.e., a lemonade stand, a 50/50 raffle, a concert, yoga class, etc.).
