I am racing for research
I run this race as a teenager in university struggling to define and exude the exellence that will disapate the generational trauma for my future unborn family, as such, they may go through different struggles in life that do not involve existential dread and shame tied to the caste they were born into as black individuals. This is a race run to prove that I can perceiver through tough times with the dicipline required to change the course of my future as well as to shine a light to invigorate the others in the community that deem themselves less capable due to the generational surpression, depression, and trauma inherited to take care of their families starting with generosity towards others. I run for sinai health to support the delivery of babies and provide however much funding possible to prevent any loss of the next generation of all caste due to illness, I hope to raise enough to buy treatment for some families. My reasoning may seem flawed or difficult to interpret, but I belive my heart is in the right place, thus, I will march to the beat of liberation on may 3rd to provide support to as many families as I can on the path of one day, supporting my own.
Description
This year, I am racing to support the ground breaking research that takes place at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI), part of Sinai Health.
Funds raised will help fuel world-leading research to help push the boundaries of science and advance our collective understanding of human biology in health and disease. I hope you'll support my run or join me by registering yourself!
