This year cancer entered our lives right up close and very personally. It’s hard to put into words what it feels like when someone you love is given a life altering diagnosis. Helpless springs top of mind. But I believe that hope can infect you, even when it feels like it’s the hardest to find.

This year running became a refuge for me. Something I could do when I felt overwhelmed and powerless. 

Something that gave me hope. 

So it’s my hope now to be able to support the incredible people who are working tirelessly to make breakthroughs in cancer treatment, research, and care right here in Alberta. Every dollar raised helps provide life-saving resources for patients, fund essential research, and offer emotional and financial support to families who are going through those feelings of helplessness.

1 in 2 Albertans will hear the words, “You have cancer” in their lifetime and 1 in 5 will not survive.
