This year I’ll be trying to run further than I ever have before…. 

Can I do it?  I sure hope so, and I’m going to do my damndest to finish.

I’m planning to run a half-marathon to support Foothills Academy Society, which has school and community programs that support children with learning disabilities and ADHD, and their families.  Foothills Academy has had an enormous positive impact on my whole family, and has been a complete game changer for my daughter’s education.  I know not every family is fortunate enough to be able to afford these programs, which is why I am fundraising for Foothills.  Their bursary programs help kids in Calgary & surrounding areas access the school and community support programs regardless of financial situation, which is exactly how it should be.  Your child’s ability to succeed in school and in life should not depend on your pay check, and Foothills Academy Society knows this.
