My Story…

I'm excited to share that I will be walking with the SAMPS Strollers this year to raise funds for myeloma research.

I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2018, enjoyed a 5-year remission, and then have relapsed twice in the past 2 years. It's been a rollercoaster, but I'm determined to make it a fun ride!!

SAMPS is partnering with the 2026 Servus Calgary Marathon for the Flair Air 5K Walk/Run on May 23, 2026.

As always, we continue to support local Multiple Myeloma research led by Dr. N. Bahlis and Dr. P. Neri at the Charbonneau Cancer Institute here in Calgary (a partnership between the University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services). This research has helped develop treatments that have hugely impacted my life, and the lives of others living with Multiple Myeloma.
